Why I Built ShareBeam

The idea for ShareBeam was born out of pure frustration. I was trying to send a large folder of personal memories to a friend, and I quickly realized that every mainstream platform demanded one thing: uploading my private data to their centralized cloud servers first.

It made absolutely no sense. Why should my private files travel to a data center hundreds of miles away just to reach a laptop sitting in the same room? More importantly, I felt extremely uneasy handing over control of my personal data to third-party servers where I couldn't guarantee its privacy.

I wanted a solution where files go straight from my device to theirs, completely skipping the cloud. By leveraging direct Peer-to-Peer (P2P) connections, ShareBeam ensures your data never touches an external server. It's direct, it's private, and it's built on the fundamental belief that your data should always remain yours.
