1. Information We Do Not Collect

ShareBeam was built on the foundation of privacy. Because of our Peer-to-Peer architecture, we do not:

• Store, monitor, or access the contents of the files you share.
• Require you to create an account, provide an email address, or log in.
• Track your personal identity.

2. How Your Files Are Transferred

When you share a file using ShareBeam, it is transferred directly between devices using WebRTC technology. The files never reside on our centralized servers. Our servers only facilitate the initial "handshake" (signaling) required for your devices to find each other on the local network or internet.

3. Information Automatically Collected

To make the connection between devices possible, standard network data is temporarily processed by our signaling servers, including:

• IP Addresses (used purely to establish the WebRTC connection).
• Browser type and version for compatibility checks.

This connection data is ephemeral and is not permanently logged or sold to third parties.

4. Data Security

All WebRTC data channels are encrypted by default. This ensures that even if you are sharing files across the internet, the transfer is secure and protected from interception.

5. Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website (for example, which pages are popular) so we can improve it. Google Analytics may set cookies and collect anonymised data such as your approximate location, device type, and pages visited. It does not have access to the files you transfer.

6. Advertising (Google AdSense)

ShareBeam may display advertisements served by Google AdSense to keep the service free.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to ShareBeam and/or other sites on the Internet.
• You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
