Short version: We use functional storage for your preferences (like Dark Mode), plus Google Analytics and Google AdSense cookies. We never see the files you transfer.
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer or mobile device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, as well as to provide analytics and advertising information to the owners of the site.
We use your browser's built-in localStorage for strictly functional purposes — for example, saving a simple theme: 'dark' flag so your screen doesn't flash bright white if you prefer dark mode.
We use Google Analytics to measure how visitors use ShareBeam so we can improve it. Google Analytics sets cookies that collect anonymised information such as pages visited, approximate location, and device/browser type. This data is aggregated and is not used to personally identify you.
To keep ShareBeam free, we display ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on your visits to ShareBeam and other websites.
You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings, and clear local storage by clearing your browser's site data. Doing so will reset your ShareBeam theme to the system default and may limit personalised ads.
If you have any questions about our use of cookies or local storage, feel free to reach out via our Contact Us page.
